Brian Cronin, founder and president
Brian has worked in marketing/communications for over 13 years. As a project manager, account manager, and client services director at Wirestone, he provided strategic and tactical direction for interactive and traditional marketing programs for such clients as HP, ConAgra Foods, and E*TRADE. As a writer and editor at educational publisher Scholastic Inc, Brian played a lead role in researching and producing edu-marketing materials for Discover Card, AT&T/Bell Labs, the United Nations, and the U.S.D.A. Brian also has experience in the non-profit sector, spearheading communications efforts at Junior Chamber International, a non-governmental organization. There he served as editor-in-chief of Leader magazine, which was distributed worldwide in three languages.
Brian has served as the press secretary/communications director on gubernatorial and mayoral campaigns and has done communications work on behalf of various elected officials, including speechwriting, media relations, op-eds, and print collateral. He has provided similar services to corporate executives. Brian represents District 19 as a legislator in the Idaho House of Representatives.
He currently serves on the Board of the Idaho Human Rights Education Center and has served on the Ada County Highway District Neighborhood Advisory Council, the Board of Boise State Radio, and the Board of the Metro Chamber’s Small Business Success Center, and has volunteered in helping local refugees settle in Boise. He holds an Ed.M. degree from Harvard University and a B.A. in history from Haverford College.
David Murray, principal
David has a diverse background in corporate marketing, small business operations, and higher education. At Cronin & Associates, David has provided the overall logistical coordination and strategic direction on marketing and communications initiatives ranging from solid waste to telemedicine to gardening.
Prior to joining Cronin & Associates, David worked at Hewlett-Packard, where he developed cost-effective and metric driven marketing campaigns focused on driving customer engagement and generating sales leads. With five years of experience as a Marketing Program Manager at HP, David has a keen understanding of how different projects and marketing tactics need to be managed in order to integrate them into a larger strategic program. While at HP, David advocated for the use and proliferation of web 2.0 media like blogs and wikis for the purpose of enhancing internal communication as well as external marketing efforts.
As a small business owner, David co-created an online t-shirt company, which involved doing everything from executing grassroots marketing campaigns to product design and from order fulfillment to taking out the garbage. He also spent two years at Boise State University in the History Department teaching European and American history courses.
David spent three years living in Scotland, Holland, Italy, Greece, and Spain and is proficient in Italian, Dutch, and Latin. He currently serves on the boards of Treasure Valley Public Access Television and Zoo Boise. He has an MA in Classics from the University of Edinburgh and a BA in Classics and Archaeology from Bowdoin College in Maine.
